Requirements

DayMap is a web based application and requires no client installation or configuration. Clients require Internet Explorer 6 or newer. The school will need to be running the following software on their network: Windows 2000/2003 Server configured as an application server to run ASP.Net applications with an Active Directory domain and SQL Server 2000/2005. For Outlook integration schools will need Exchange 2000/2003 and client machines will need Outlook 2000 or newer. DayMap imports data from the schools timetabling database. DayMap currently has import procedures for Timetabler, First Class and Synergy, import procedures for other timetabling packages will be provided as required.

DayMap "Verified for Windows Server 2003"

DayMap has received the Microsoft certifications "Verified for Windows Server 2003" and ".Net connected". DayMap passed through a Microsoft test-lab and was approved for both certifications in the first go, with no comments. The tests certify that:

• DayMap runs on Windows Server 2003 and is unlikely to cause Windows Server 2003 to become unstable
• DayMap meets basic security requirements for Windows Server 2003.
• DayMap installs on Windows Server 2003 by means of a robust, self-repairing installation that helps minimize conflicts among shared components.
• DayMap un-installs easily from Windows 2003 Server.
• The Microsoft .NET Connected Logo provides a means of identifying products and solutions that connect through the power of Web services. Systems, applications, and services that display the .NET Connected Logo have been tested to support Web service capabilities and are optimized for the next generation of Internet-enabled computing.
